Five SPC teams participated in the 2017 Texas  Girls High School Lacrosse League (TGHSLL) tournament, held in Houston on May 6 and 7. Four of the eight teams who made the Division I tournament were SPC schools, and Greenhill represented the SPC in Division II. Both divisions were won by SPC schools.

In Division I, 2017 SPC champions Episcopal Dallas defeated Hockaday, 16-10. ESD beat Austin St. Michael’s 17-7 in the semifinal, and Hockaday beat St. John’s 13-12. St. Stephen’s also made the DI tournament but fell to Hockaday in the opening round.

Greenhill, returning to the state tournament for the first time in 19 years, made the most of the opportunity, defeating Plano 8-7 in the semifinals and handing Katy a 9-5 defeat in the final.

Congratulations to these teams for representing the SPC so well!
